This Saturday Morcambe’s finest romantic indie rock outfit return to The Deaf Institute to promote the launch of their latest single, Jealous Don’t You Know. There’s no doubt that The Heartbreaks are one of Lancashire’s hottest prospects, sharing the stage with the likes of The Pigeon Detectives recently. Carl Barat has been amongst the many to praise the band, crowning the four-piece: “The finest support band I think I’ve ever had”.

The Heartbreaks aren’t just great on record; they know exactly how to get the best out of their music live. When Sound-Revolution caught up with The Heartbreaks in October, lead singer Matthew Whitehouse made his thoughts on the importance of performing live unequivocal:

“I cannot understand bands who record and then learn how to play their songs live, it’s just completely unnatural to me.”

“The first thing I think about is playing the song live – I couldn’t think of it any other way”.

Supporting The Heartbreaks will be Mabel Love, an up and coming band from Sheffield who are set to play some big shows with Arctic Monkeys this summer. You can download the Mabel Love single ‘Socks’ for free here.
